The families of Furkan Doðan, Cevdet Kýlýçlar and Necdet Yýldýrým, who were killed in the attack, filed a petition against Israel seeking financial and moral compensation, along with 30 other people who have suffered due to the attack, said the attorney for the families, Uður Yýldýrým.

The award will be presented to his parents Dr. and Mrs. Ahmet Dogan on Sunday, 12th June, at the Palestine brunch between 10:30 am and 12:00 pm at the ADC National Convention to be held at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington , DC .
A lawsuit has been opened in the United States regarding killing of a U.S.-Turkish citizen, Furkan Dogan, as well as other American citizens who were on board in the deadly May 31, 2010 attack by Israeli commandos on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla.
